Charming Chic in Fresh Colours and Fine Knits from Ready to Fish by Ilja for Autumn/Winter 2015

We bring you the best seat in the house to sit back and enjoy the gorgeous presentation from Ready to Fish by Ilja shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Take a look at the latest designs from Dutch designer Ilja Visser in our highlights from the runway show.

This collection was all about concentrating on the essence of the brand in addition to creating a blank canvas for the customers which allows them to style and accessorize the pieces freely by taking a mix and match approach with the minimal block colored garments.

The clothes included voluminous wide leg pants, slogan sweaters, belted knit cardigans, turtleneck jersey dresses and paneled jackets alongside white and grey checked silk pieces. The palette consisted of bright yellow and mustard in addition to salmon pink, smokey blue and black. Other garments included abstract shapes on knit sweaters and dresses using the marbled pattern from classic archive notebooks.

There was a chic minimalism throughout the whole collection but it was particularly pronounced in the long shirt dresses, skirts and tunics worn together with fisherman’s wife style head wraps. Modern construction methods were seen the the multi textured bonded shift dresses and sheer t-shirts.
